When you pick up the vehicle, you'll need:
- Passport or national ID card.
- Driver's license.
- Credit card. (Accepted credit cards: VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS)
The primary driver must present a credit card in their name to pick up the vehicle. The card must have sufficient funds to cover the deposit/excess, which will be held until the end of the rental period. Cash and debit cards are not accepted.
When you booked the car, you selected a make and model “or similar” (“similar” means the same transmission, size, engine, etc.). The counter staff may assign you a different car that is not the make and model you expected.

Driver's License Requirements
When picking up the vehicle, both the primary driver and any additional drivers must present a valid, current driver’s license. The license must be in physical form. A digital license is considered a supplement to the physical one. If you do not have a physical driver’s license, the rental company reserves the right to refuse to provide you with the vehicle.
Forms of Identification
You must present your national ID card or passport.
Age Restrictions
The minimum age to drive this vehicle is 18.
All age-related restrictions and fees apply to all additional drivers.
Arrival Information
If you are arriving by plane, the car rental company needs your flight number at least 3 days before the rental period begins. If you do not provide your flight number, the car rental company is not responsible if your flight is delayed and, as a result, the car is not available. Be sure to provide your flight number and not any other number the airline may have sent you, such as a confirmation number.
Mileage
Your rental includes unlimited mileage.
Additional drivers
You can add additional drivers to your rental for an extra fee.
Insurance, Coverage, and Exclusions (Included in the price)
Partial Collision Coverage (CDW)
If the vehicle’s body is damaged during the rental period, the maximum amount you may have to pay is the so-called “damage deductible.” This coverage is valid only if the terms of the rental agreement are met. Other parts of the vehicle (such as windows, tires, interior, roof, or undercarriage), fees (such as towing fees or fees for time the vehicle is not in use), and items inside the vehicle (such as child seats, GPS devices, or personal belongings) are not covered.
Third-Party Liability Insurance (TPL)
This coverage protects the driver against liability for injuries or property damage as specified in the policy. However, it does not cover any injuries to the driver or damage to the rental vehicle. The coverage is valid only if the terms of the rental agreement are met.
Theft Coverage (TP)
In the event that the vehicle is stolen, the maximum amount you may have to pay for a replacement would be the so-called “theft deductible.” The coverage will only be valid if the terms of the rental agreement are met.
Warranty/Deductible (Included in the price)
We will request a security deposit when you pick up the vehicle and place a pre-authorization hold on your credit card. This hold will be released at the end of the rental, provided the vehicle is returned in the agreed-upon condition.
Premium CDW Coverage (Optional insurance not included)
Premium Coverage (PCDW)
Partial Collision Damage Waiver (PCDW) insurance reduces the driver's liability in the event that the vehicle is damaged. It limits the driver's legal obligation to pay for repairs or replacement of the vehicle, always in accordance with the terms of the rental agreement.
IMPORTANT: All vehicles include a deductible for total loss under the PREMIUM CDW plan.
If you purchase Premium Coverage before picking up the vehicle, your liability will be limited, and you will be covered for:
- damage to windshields and windows
- tire theft
- locks
- Minor scratches on the bodywork.
- “downtime charges” (while the vehicle is being repaired and cannot be rented out)
- charges for roadside assistance in the event of an accident or breakdown
- the administrative fees applicable to any of the items listed above
Comprehensive Coverage (Optional insurance not included)
Total Coverage
Total Coverage exempts you from liability with respect to:
- If you purchase Invernalia Total Coverage before picking up the vehicle, we will limit your liability for:
- charges for damage to the exterior of the vehicle or mechanical components
- body, roof, and underbody
- windshields, windows, and mirrors
- wheels, rims, hubcaps
- engine, clutch, or battery
- locks
- “downtime charges” (while the vehicle is being repaired and cannot be rented out)
- charges for roadside assistance in the event of an accident or breakdown
- the administrative fees applicable to any of the items listed above
All drivers must comply with the terms of the rental agreement: our Total Coverage product NO It will cover expenses incurred in circumstances that violate the terms, such as reckless, careless, or negligent driving, fueling errors, or driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Fuel Options
The tank will be full or partially full. When you pick up the car, check how much fuel is in it.
When you return the vehicle, as long as you have refilled the fuel you used, you will not be charged for fuel.
Fee for vehicle cleaning and maintenance
The rental company will charge you an additional fee if the vehicle requires a thorough cleaning after your reservation ends.
Important Information from Invernalia Rent A Car
Before picking up the vehicle, we recommend that you carefully read the terms and conditions of your rental to ensure that you understand the laws in your rental location.
Find out what documents you’ll need to bring (for example, driver’s license, National ID card, and payment cards) and make sure you have enough credit to pay for any extras or additional services you’ve requested in advance. If you do not meet the requirements set by the rental company, it reserves the right to refuse to hand over the vehicle to you.
By making your reservation, you confirm that you have read and agree to our terms and conditions.
Once at the rental counter, customers will also need to sign a rental agreement before the keys are handed over. Before signing, it is important to read the agreement carefully and speak with the counter staff if anything is unclear. Your rental company reserves the right to refuse to rent a car if, in the opinion of the counter staff, the driver is unfit to drive or any member of the group threatens, abuses, or endangers the health and safety of others in any way. If this happens, you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.
Grace period
You must arrive at the rental counter at the time of pickup. If you are late, the car may not be available, and you will not be entitled to a refund. If you think you might be late, it is crucial that you contact the rental company at least 30 minutes before your pickup time, even if the delay is due to a flight delay and you have provided your flight number.
One-Way Reservation Policies
If you decide to rent a vehicle at one location and return it to a different one, the rental company may charge you a one-way fee to cover the costs incurred by having to return the vehicle to the pickup location.
You must let us know in advance if you wish to make a one-way reservation. Additionally, if you return the vehicle to a location other than the one specified in your reservation, the rental company will charge you an extra fee.
Crossing Borders
Service outside of business hours.
Service available outside regular business hours upon request: car pickup/return outside regular business hours. This service incurs a fee of 20.00 US$, which must be paid when signing the rental agreement.
Fees and taxes.
All additional services are subject to local taxes and sales taxes.
Rental Extension.
If you need the car, including any extras, for longer than originally planned, call the pickup location (you’ll find the phone number in the rental agreement). If you don’t give sufficient advance notice, you may have to pay a penalty in addition to the extra charges. You’ll also need to sign a new rental agreement with the company and make sure you have the necessary coverage for the additional days.
Additional services.
As explained during the booking process, extras (child seats, GPS, etc.) are:
- will be included in the rental price,
- will be requested and paid when reserving the car or
- These will be requested when you reserve the car and paid for when you pick it up (in which case we cannot guarantee that they will be available or that the price will be the same)
Terms and Conditions for Additional Services.
Any additional equipment or services are subject to local taxes and sales taxes.
Cancellations, “No-Shows,” and Changes to Reservations
Cancellations: Reservations initially paid in full
- If you cancel your reservation at least 48 hours before the start date of the rental, there will be no charge.
- If you cancel your reservation between 48 hours and the start date of the rental, you will be charged of the total reservation amount on the credit card you provided as a guarantee.
- If you do not pick up the vehicle at the agreed-upon date and time, and/or are unable to provide Invernalia Rent A Car with the necessary documentation, and/or do not have a credit card with sufficient funds, the rental company reserves the right to refuse to provide you with the vehicle.
No-Show
A “no-show” is defined as:
- You do not pick up the vehicle on the agreed-upon date and time, taking into account the aforementioned grace period.
In none of these cases will a refund be issued, and the full amount of the reservation will be charged.
The rental company reserves the right to refuse to hand over the vehicle to a customer if the customer does not arrive at the time specified in the reservation, even if the customer has all the necessary documentation and a credit card with sufficient funds to cover the security deposit. In such a case, and unless the reservation has been canceled in advance, the customer will not be entitled to a refund.
